I have a background in Broadcasting and video production.  At the ripe old age of 13, I became a radio station disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico at a little  country station called KRIK.  Some people claim I am an alien since I grew up in Roswell, the site of that mysterious UFO crash.  I tell everyone I am from Zector in quadrant six of the universe, (but I am not really).  Later I became a television news reporter and photographer at the NBC station in Dallas.  I married my beautiful wife Becky and the two of us owned a video production company producing television commercials and corporate videos in Dallas.  Later we owned and operated an awards competition for the print, video and radio industry (The Communicator Awards).  Becky is the sister of David Lindsey.   David of David's Dulcimers is well known for crafting one of the best sounding hammer dulcimers.  The two of us traveled to various festivals with his family for many years.  During this time I grew extremely interested in wood working.  I started making hammer dulcimer stands, hammers and music holders for the dulcimer.  This all developed into my work in the psaltery world.  We sold our awards business to some nice guys from New York City and retired.  I now have a complete wood working shop in our new home in the country near Bennington, Oklahoma.  It is three miles down a gravel road from David's shop and home and about four miles down that same gravel road from Russell Cook and Master Works shop.  Russell is David's brother-in-law.  Small world ain't it?  Now that that's all said and done; I love my wife, my home and making instruments.  It's wonderful to make something from wood that people enjoy playing and having a good time with.  God Bless.
