Mountain Dulcimer-  The Waynie mountain Dulcimer is built with the best of everything.  This one has Bubinga top and bottom with a Coca Bola fret board.  The markers on the fret board are tourqouis.  The nut and bridge are buffalo horn.  There are gold tuners and strap buttons.  The design is to resemble a fiddle.  Most unique is the sides which are covered in calf hide.

Following with the theme of leather sides, the instrument has five long horn sound holes.  There are four on the top side and one on the back.  The one on the back houses the three inch speaker for the amplifier.  The body beneath the hide is cherry.  All the wood is solid, no veneer and no plywood.
Most unique is the small circuit board amplifier built right inside.  There is no volume control, just an on/off switch.  The volume is preset to give the instrument a certain boost that propels it above the rest with volume and sound.  The speaker is built right inside near the front facing down covered by a black grill.  There is a nine volt battery compartment on the user side so as to not be seen by anyone else.  The instrument is lacquered waxed, buffed and hand rubbed.
